
Women’s soccer has been inducted in the games for the first time, since SAG began some 26 years ago. Besides Pakistan and India the other teams are Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. According to Bangladesh Football Federation.
Women Football Committee’s Deputy Chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, Kamalapur’s Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium will host both the women’s matches on the opening day. The remaining group matches will be held at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
On Jan 29, hosts Bangladesh will launch their campaign against Nepal while India will face Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s four matches in league phase are against India (Jan 31), Bangladesh (Feb 2), Sri Lanka (Feb 4) and Nepal ( Feb 6).
