Women have scaled the heights of Mt. Everest, they have gone into space and come back. They have achieved the pinnacle of success even in male bastions, such as Wall Street and Big Business. They have scorched their path to dizzying heights of excellence in science, medicine, mathematics, engineering, economics, banking, nuclear science, and many more other fields. There are famed writers, doctors, scientists, economists, bankers, sportswomen who have scaled the peaks of success.
Yet, they are still regarded as second-class citizens!
Despite their efforts in some of the rare-field areas such as genomics, genetics, and particle physics, women are considered not being on par with men!
Women have the dubious distinction of being the most discriminated against alongside people that are discriminated by race, religion, or nationality.
Women are considered some of the best military people, strategists, planners, soldiers, and aviation experts.
No field is immune from women power. Some of the best pilots are women. Some of the best mountaineers are women.
But NO! Formula One, is supposed to be a sacrosanct for MEN. Just like it took ages to have a "black" or "colored" racer in Formula One, women, despite early contestants in the sport, are being kept away from it even today.
Chauvinistic Formula One bosses, hedonist F1 goers that find joy in the glorified gory of the pit-babes rather than a woman who would best a man on a race track, confused sponsors, and a million other dumb reasons keep women out of the sport they could excel at!
If a sponsor can support Maria Sharapova who wins the Wimbledon crown, then why would they not sponsor Sarah Fisher or Danica Patrick? After all, women power in pegging a product is not secondary to male selling power.
I don't think Tag Heuer would only sponsor Kimi and not sponsor a woman such as Danica Patrick if she would want to enter Formula One. Same applies for any of the other sponsors.
More than the fact that women lack skill, grit, or sheer fire power in scorching to a win on a race track, what I believe is the truth in them being relegated out of the track is the EGO of Formula One MEN unwilling to be bested by a woman.
After all, it is happening in multiple other fields, so why not on the Formula One Track?
