With the NBA players locked out and the 2011-12 season in jeopardy, many basketball fans are wondering where to turn to for their hoops fix. The obvious choice this fall would be the NCAA; but if you can’t wait that long, the WNBA season is happening right now!
Not excited? I don’t blame you. It’s not difficult to figure out why there’s a lack of interest in the WNBA. The talent just isn’t there. Combine that with uniforms that don’t exactly appeal to the superficial man—along with a general lack of aesthetically-pleasing women—and your key demographic isn’t setting the DVR to record the next Sparks versus Liberty game.
However, if you look closely you’ll see several hidden gems currently playing in the WNBA—and I’m not talking about their basketball skills. Coming up with 10 sexy WNBA players wasn’t easy compared to women’s tennis and volleyball, especially with the recent departures of Brittany Jackson, Svetlana Abrosimova and Kayte Christensen (look them up on Google).
However, the women I was able to come up with will still get your blood going to the point where you might actually tune into a WNBA game if you’re bored on a summer evening. Of course, beauty is subjective, so my order might differ from yours. But at the end of the day, the important thing is that I have 10 photos of 10 beautiful athletes. Enjoy!
